website ROI on the back of an envelope

Why on the back of an envelope? Well, if you work for a FTSE 100 company, it is probably best not to rush up to the MD with these results. But on the other hand, if you want a quick and dirty indication of website ROI, then this is just the thing.

Note that all fields are required.

Getting started with website ROI

What are the costs?

Simple really. What do you spend on your website? This could be your hosting costs, staff wages, agency fees, AdWord campaigns, or any other web-related expense.

What is the revenue?

So how much money comes in from the website? This could be sales from e-commerce websites, enquiries that convert into offline sales, or savings from brochure downloads.

Website ROI

Subtract the costs from the revenue and then divide by cost. In this case, of course, we'll do it for you. This gives you a percentage. If, for every £1 you spend on advertising you make £2 revenue, then your website ROI is 100%.
